"When we looked into a better crankshaft for this motor, CV Products recommended that we look at this crank. There are several 4340 crankshafts out now that are in this market, but the name Callies sold this one to me.
The machine shop was impressed by the quality of the shaft and they did not have to touch the machine work. They stated that they often have to regrind other "affordable" 4340 cranks to make them right, but not the Compstar - it is right out of the box.
